Earlier this week I caught up with my Rincon buddies Hoyt Tarola and Ernest Parra for an early morning dawn patrol session at Jalama. The tide was pretty high when we arrived, but the lack of crowds made the scene quite surreal and inviting. This was a classic long-period swell, with long lulls between the sets, but when the sets came through, the waves were quite breathtaking...
