Big Wednesday, April 11th
A convergence of a strong WNW swell combined with a strong Southern-Hemi to bring Rincon alive from a seeming state of dormancy! The dawn patrol crew really scored as light crowd and glassy sea surface conditions translated into probably the best session so far in calendar year 2007 at Rincon. I shot several hundred images which will take many hours to process. Here are some samples of what Rincon looked like today...
So calm and so cool in the face of a large Rincon wall...
A nice barrel at the top of the Cove...

Check out the "floater"...

A classic green Rincon wall...
"Is it soup, yet?"
Another clean wave...

No wetsuit, sea temp 56 degrees. Now those are cajones at 7:07 am...
A brave little grom takes a tumble...
Eric Akiskalian (a.k.a. "Towsurfer") has just moved back from the Pac NW...

Check out this Rincon Barrel! Whoa!!! Recognize that board?

Zoom-zoom-zoom through "the bowl section" of the rivermouth...
The wave of the day? Just wait. It gets heavier... ![]()

That's about it for now, time to get back in the water.
Email me for prints. I'm also making some cool poster boards...
