Best week of 2007 at Rincon?
I'm wiped! Two days of shooting a beautiful Springtime West swell, followed by a third morning of solid overhead surf in the water, and I'm surfed out! Tuesday and Wednesday were head-high with plus sets, and real talent (Curren, Mearig et al) shredding the faces, but today was a whole 'nother story. Overnight the wind blew hard, and the morning brought with it large but sloppy walls to the point. The biggest sets were 3 feet overhead plus, and the wind made for some pretty steep drops. Boards were snapping. If you managed to pick the right wave there were some pretty sick barrels in the cove, out in front of The Pit. Because I was in the water today I don't have any pics to share. I have about 600 images from the two previous days to sort through and process, and that's going to take some time. If you were surfing Rincon on either day, chances are I have some images of you from which prints are orderable.
In the meantime I have assembled a small gallery to look at from yesterday's session:
Click here to view a few Rincon images taken on Wednesday 4/25
I'll finish with a couple of random files from this week...
