Local Surf Update

www.surfline.com  KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

I'm writing to you from Southern Norway, but have been keeping an eye on the scene from this remote location. Reports via email have indicated that not much is happening in Southern California scene right now surf-wise. One RSB reader wrote about a decent session up near Pt. Conception last week, but since then there's been a heavy overcast with onshore breeze combined with lake-flat seas. Look for NW windswell in the coming days, as well as some off-season NW groundswell as the Southern Hemisphere appears to be very quiet.

Over on this side of the world I was on the beach in Southern England a couple of days ago in the town of Brighton. Whilst there was not much surf, I was surprised to find both a Rip Curl and an O'Neil Surf Shop. Boards were selling for about £330, or about $700.00.  If any RSB readers can send my recent surf reports or perhaps even photos, I will be glad to include them in my next update.

In the meantime, here's a picture of a classic hollow Rincon wall taken last Winter to help get us through the so-called "dog days" of Summer.
