Late Morning Mid-Summer Action at The 'Con

Greetings Rincon Surf Blog Readers,

After 2.5 long weeks in Europe I returned yesterday to find Rincon lit up with solid 2-3 foot windswell surf coming in at a primo 290 degrees.  I returned to the point today with camera in hand.  Although the size and power of the waves had clearly diminished, a fun late morning session was still ripe for the taking, a nice surprise for this travel-weary surfer!

After snapping a few pics I managed to catch a couple of nice chest-high waves down in The Cove that had enough energy to push a shortboard.  The crowd was pretty light, but some of the locals were there getting in on the action.  I'm still a little jet-lagged from my 36 hour trip back from Norway, so I'm going to be short on words, but here are a few images taken by me today at Rincon.  Looks like fun, dontchya think?!?!  BTW, some Southern-Hemi stuff is headed our way, so get ready!  Ventura or Jalama?
