C Street Longboard Classic This Weekend

"The C Street Longboard Classic is a longboard event open to amateur surfers of all ages. The event is a fund raiser for the re-establishment of the C Street Surfing Museum. Applications are no longer being accepted via the web site. Potential contestants can come to the beach Saturday morning and organizers will try to fit you in, but no promises!"
Divisions:
Men: 18 and under Women: 19 and under
Men: 19-25 years Women: 20-39 years
Men: 26-39 years Women: 40 and over
Men: 40-49 years
Men: 50-59 years
Sr. Men: 60+
Super Legends: 70+
**Age is determined based on your age as of September 15, 2007. Longboard must be at least 9' or 3' over the the riders head.
ENTRANCE FEE: $75 (includes contest entry, shirt, goodie bag, and a raffle ticket for a chance to win a surfboard in a "contestant only" raffle)
OLD LOG EVENT:
The "Old Log" Event is open to contestants who live in Ventura, Santa Barbara or San Luis Obispo Counties Only. It is limited to the first 30 entrants. The boards must be at least 35 years old, no leashes or wetsuits. There is an additional $20 fee for the "old log" event.

The surf forecast for this weekend is calling for 2-3 feet or so, with plus sets.
I'm going to try to make it down to cover the event - for at least one day. If anyone is interested in getting some surf shots, just notify (email) me ahead of time what heat to look for you in...
