Severe Weather Keeps Surfers Landlocked

Victory-at-Sea Conditions With a Shot of Espresso

After several weeks of "Regulation Rincon" the weather has taken a turn for the worse, with snow in the local mountain, hailstorms, muddy waters, even reports of waterspouts touching down close by (a rare tornado warning was issued earlier this week; a twister reportedly touched down at Pt. Mugu).  With the prevailing extreme weather, few surfers have braved the elements - leaving not much to talk about lately but for the festivities leading up to the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. The image below is typical of how things looked this week on the South Coast.
