Smoke on the Water

Rare Summer Lightning Storm Touches Off 800 Separate Fires in NorCal
Big Sur Coastline Immediately Threatened

Pat Becker hits the lip hard during this year's Rincon Classic

You can't help but notice the reddish haze that's been lingering over the South Coast the past few days following one of the most intense heat waves in recent memory.  Smoke from fires raging in Northern California has been drifting all the way down to Santa Barbara and beyond as firefighters try to gain the upper hand on the out-of-control situation.  Hopefully we'll be spared of fire down here while firefighting resources are so heavily taxed.

Surfboard Found in Rincon Parking Lot

Good samaritan Carrie writes, " found a board in the Rincon Lot early am 6/24.  Describe to claim."  If the board belongs to you, you can email Carrie at carrieraven@gmail.com.

Surfboard Stolen June 24th, Reward Offered

7"9 Mana Surfboard (Hawaiian) Mini Tanker Light Blue/White stolen at approx 12:15-12:45pm JUNE 24 from the parking structure across from Nordstroms on Canon Perdido & State Street.  The board was in the back of my Blue Toyota Tacoma Truck in a DaKine surfboard bag (metallic/camofloague).  Board is Light Blue & White. The deck is white with an emblem on top & bottom of board stating "Mana Surfboards". Center of board/stringer has initial "J.S. for M.S”.  There is a noticeable ding/crack on the side rail which has NOT been repaired.  This was a custom board I had made and it has alot of sentimental meaning.

I am hoping that someone saw somebody take the board out of my truck and either drive away with the board in their car or carry the board/bag away in the parking stucture mentioned above.

I am offering a reward for any information or leads.

This board was made in Maui Hawaii and I am sure that whomever stole it out of my car is planning on trying to sell it, so please if you see this board of hear of anything, please call.

Mahalo & Thank you
