Feeling the Blues? You are not alone...
Mid-August, and by now most Rincon surfers are showing signs of acute surf-deprivation. Depressed mood, irritability, lack of energy, feelings of hopelessness; sound familiar? Well, the good news is that in just a few weeks the kids will be back in school, Southern-Hemi season will peak, and the first West swells of Fall will be only a month or so away...
Weekend Windswell
An off-season low pressure trough in the Gulf of Alaska sent some decent rideable surf to Rincon yesterday. Surfers were greeted by waist- to chest-high sets and some very warm water (close to 70 degrees) making for a fun Summer session. Needless to say the crowds were on it by afternoon, with both parking lots full, but nonetheless, a very welcomed August treat for those who came and surfed.
that was a nice little treat for the snurfettes!!!! now wasn't it!
