Following many months of frustration - chasing elusive Southern-Hemi swells, sublimating in weak, peaky windswell, and finding alternative activities to pass the time, it appears that a low pressure system churning off of the coast of California is poised to throw the first swells of Fall our way over the next week. Two separate spikes of energy should have Rincon surfers salivating like Pavlov's dogs if conditions hold true to forecast. As editor/photographer/webmaster of Rincon Surf Blog, I am pretty stoked about the possibilities of the upcoming season. Not only have I upgraded my arsenal of land-based camera bodies and lenses, but I will also be shooting from the water this season. If you happen to see me in the lineup dragging around a bright yellow housing, be sure to introduce yourself, and I will oblige you with a complimentary barrel shot.
