Heavy Winds & Rain Wreak Havoc on Local Surfing Conditions

Focusing on the positives, the heavy rains are restoring our local reservoirs to normal level, and the creek runoff will be assisting the natural process of sand replenishment. Along with the rain, though, comes the toxic bouillabaisse of pesticides, viruses and microbes as Rincon Creek has had its first real "flush" in practically 2 years. These days we hear so much about Conner Coffin, the local Rincon star who many feel is the heir apparent to our former local World Champion Tom Curren. While Conner is busy training with the PacSun USA Surf Team headed for the ISA Worlds, I thought I'd post a couple of pics of his goofy-footed little brother Parker, who I feel is one of the most exciting surfers to watch at Rincon...

Parker generates so much speed driving down the line it's mind-blowing...

His backhand attack is Martinez-esque, and Parker will be a force to contend with on the pro tour some day, you can bank on that...
